Because of their incredible sustainability, hemp fabrics are everywhere right now. The plant grows so well it doesn t require herbicides and, as a natural pest reducer, hemp doesn t need pesticides, either. And because its roots grow up to nine feet deep, hemp is a regenerative plant, returning 60 to 70% of nutrients back to the soil. Hemp farms are also extremely effective carbon sinks - sequestering the climate-change causing gas at twice the clip of forests. But not all hemp fiber is processed equally. Avocado exclusively uses GOTS certified organic hemp with GOTS approved dyes - so there are no nasty inputs in processing. Plus, their MADE SAFE® certification means they passed a rigorous scientific screening process that only allows the use of ingredients that are not known or suspected to harm human health, animals, aquatic life, or ecosystems.

The grams per square meter of a sheet is a measure of its quality, effectiveness, and feel. We use a premium 165 gsm weight with hemp sourced from India. Our sheets are thick and durable - but because of the fabric s incredible natural properties, they breathe extremely well, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Keep in mind that our Organic Hemp Sheets will get softer with each wash . Machine wash them on a gentle cycle with similar colors in cold water. Do not use fabric softeners, bleach, or whiteners. We recommend line drying for best results or tumble dry low and remove promptly. Hemp sheets naturally produce lint from the dryer. The lint will reduce over time. To avoid lint, and to create crisp, sun-dried sheets, always hang on the line to dry.
