Solid Wood Construction	Our bed legs are solid maple from California or Oregon or solid walnut from Michigan. Made in Los Angeles, California, in our own woodshop. Note: The walnut build showcases the natural depth and unique grain patterns of the timber. Walnut is known for its complex colors, durability, and strength, but does feature some variation in wood tone and color. MEET THE MAKERS

We finish each piece with Walrus Oil® from their Furniture Maker Master Kit - a trusted, American-made wood finish created with natural, food-safe ingredients, such as polymerizing oils and plant waxes. Free from harmful chemicals, VOCs, and synthetics, it aligns perfectly with Avocado s mission to create safe, sustainable, and healthy home products. Most aging in wood furniture happens within the first year. We want you to live comfortably with your furniture - don t worry about small scuffs or marks. They re part of its charm and story. Zero-VOC Stain	We use an ECOS® WoodShield stain that conforms to CDPH 01350 (VOC emissions test taken at 11, 12, and 14 days for classroom and office use), as well ASTM D4236, specifically concerning oral toxicity, skin irritation, and respiratory effects.

California Residents	We operate our own woodshop - in a facility completely separate from our mattress factory, in Los Angeles - which produces wood dust. Read California's required Proposition 65 warning for wood dust.
